Lofoten marathon

Again a nice racing experience! i participate in that local and typical marathon in the Nordland. About 500 kms north of the artic circle...
The route was typical of the Lofoten islands, with little road accross small fisher village, mountains and fields, mostly with a beautifull see view.
The weather was very bad so it did not permiss to really appreciate the landcsapes but it gives the race a more "extrem" aspect!
I felt quite well almost the entire race, running alone first at a 4' min/km pace, before fadding at the end, because of the wind, mostly, and some calf muscle difficulties: i had been walking and cycling quite much during the week before the race.
I won the race finally with a course record of 2:56:50, and was quite pleased with that. It was the end a that mont of travelling, now back to a more common life for a short time i hope....
